Kanpur River Management Private Limited (KRMPL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established to act as the Concessionaire, to design, finance, renovate/build, operate and maintain multiple sewage treatment plants (STP) and its associated infrastructure in the city of Kanpur, Uttar–Pradesh (UP). The STPs are being developed/ renovated through a hybrid annuity model (HAM) under the ‘Namami Gange programme’ on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis.KRMPL incorporated on November 16, 2018, is promoted by Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Private Limited (SPCPL; with 76% stake) which is a flagship company of Shapoorji Pallonji Group and SSG Infratech Private Limited (SSG; 24% Stake). KRMPL has won the bid for development, operation and maintenance of STPs in Kanpur city for minimum 15 years and entered into a concession agreement (CA) with NMCG and Jal Nigam on December 21, 2018.
